Ministry of Trade holds granulated sugar OP in Manado. `We carry out the granulated sugar OP because the price in the market already started to experience an increase,` said the Chief of Staff of the RI Ministry of Trading Srie Agustina in Manado, on Friday. Srie said that the granulated sugar OP in Manado was carried out in two points, namely Bersehati Market and in Kampung Ternate Manado. `We distribute three tons of granulated sugar in Manado with a much cheaper price compared to that of the market, at Rp12,000 per kilogram,` he said. The granulated sugar price in Manado trading center has currently increased to around Rp15,000 per kilogram. `Such a significant increase leads the granulated sugar OP to be carried out, especially approaching the holy month of Ramadan,` said Srie. It is admitted that approaching Ramadan or other religious holidays, there will certainly be an increase in basic necessity demands, including granulated sugar. Moreover, he said, granulated sugar is widely used to make Eid cake so it must be anticipated from the beginning. He said that we are currently entering the sugarcane harvest period so that it cannot yet be distributed to the community, hence the granulated sugar OP was carried out.The granulated sugar OP is not only carried out in Manado but also in 152 points in Indonesia with a prepared volume of 3,800 tons, and the Ministry of Trading is collaborating with State-owned Enterprise and cooperatives.

Mitsubishi Adds Passenger Vehicle Dealer in Bandung. To cater to this need, PT Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB) as the brand holder for Mitsubishi, opened an official passenger car dealership in Gardu Jati on May 21, 2016.
The fourth Mitsubishi passenger car dealership in Bandung collaborates with PT Mahligai Puteri Berlian.
The opening ceremony was attended by the President Director of PT KTB Hishashi Ishimaki and the President Commissioner of PT Mahligai Puteri Berlian - Gardu Jati, Dedi Tedja.
`We believe that opening this dealership will contribute positively to the sales volume of Mitsubishi passenger cars now and in the future,` said Hishashi Ishimaki at the Mitsubishi Gardu Jati dealership in Bandung, Saturday (05/21/2016).
With the opening of the official Mitsubishi dealership, PT Mahligai Puteri Berlian - Gardu Jati, the total number of official Mitsubishi dealerships has increased to 248, spread across Indonesia.
The dealership provides a complete line of Mitsubishi passenger cars, including the All New Pajero Sport, Delica, Outlander Sport, Mirage, and All New Triton.
The Mitsubishi PT Mahligai Puteri Berlian - Gardu Jati passenger car dealership is being developed in order to make it easier to reach consumers.
This is in line with the goal of PT KTB to develop a broader marketing distribution network for Mitsubishi products.
`With the presence of the 3S dealership, PT KTB hopes to meet the community's needs for vehicles, after-sales service, and spare parts across Indonesia, especially for consumers in the city of Bandung,` said Hishashi.

Ahead of Fasting Month, 190,000 Tons of Crystal Sugar Ready for Delivery to All Regions in Indonesia. “The PPI network, through distributors, as well as through the distribution of PPI outlets/stores that number 6,000 spread throughout Indonesia, has synergy with other SOEs, including Sucofindo, PT RNI, and Bulog,” said President Director of PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (Persero), Dayu Padmara, in a statement on Thursday (19/5/2016).
Dayu said that as a stabilizer of refined granulated sugar, PPI hopes that its price benchmarking concept for all of Indonesia can lighten the burden on the purchasing power of the public during fasting and the Eid holiday.
Dayu also mentioned that PPI's refined granulated sugar for Java is sold in the price range of Rp 11,500 to Rp 12,000 and outside Java is between Rp 12,000 and Rp 12,500 per kilogram.
Next, PPI also held a low-cost market operation. PPI is grateful that after holding the low-cost sugar market in several regions, public enthusiasm to buy was so high.
He even said that in some regions, the sugar sold out in just minutes, to the tune of up to 3 tons.
`This enthusiasm shows that the public need for sugar is so great, especially on the eve of fasting. At the very least, what PPI is doing is to help the public lighten the cost of living,” said Dayu.

Of course, 1 sip of this tea alone is very valuable and worth thousands of dollars. A small teapot of Da Hong Pao tea is worth U$10,000 or around Rp133 million. Compared to gold, this tea is apparently 30 times more expensive. What makes this type of tea so pricey? 
According to a Chinese tea expert, Xiangning Wu, this tea is considered extremely rare because the Da Hong Pao tea leaves are no longer commonly found in the market. This plant is a rare variety that grows in the Wuyi Mountains, in the Fujian Province of China.
Da Hong Pao plants are very rare, that even the locals have a special ritual every spring to pray to God Lu Yu to make new Da Hong Pao buds grow. This plant is indeed invaluable.
Da Hong Pao tea has become the most expensive tea in the world, And indeed, to enjoy just 1 sip of this tea, we have to pay thousands of dollars! It is truly unfortunate because if the seeds had managed to grow, many researchers believe this type of tea could become a commodity worth billions of dollars per year.  Da Hong Pao tea has now become a very rare commodity. However, if you are interested in enjoying some of this tea, the Royal China Club in London offers it on their menu for $250 (Rp3.3 million) per teapot that serves four small cups.

Ministry of Trade Intensifies Border Sugar Market Operations. According to the Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade, Srie Agustina, in Jakarta on Monday, the move was made to stabilize the price of sugar in line with the government's target of around Rp11,500 per kilogram.“The current price of sugar is around Rp14,800 per kilogram. However, in the market operations, the price is Rp11,500 per kilogram for the Java region, and Rp12,000-Rp12,800 per kilogram outside Java,” Srie said.He continued that the sugar market operations in all regions are being conducted by PT Perusahaan Perdagangan Indonesia (PPI) (Persero), and specifically in remote areas, they are assisted by the TNI AD (Indonesian Army) cooperative and the police.The sugar that has been prepared comes from local farms.PPI itself has allocated a stock of granulated sugar to support the low-priced Ramadhan market activities throughout the country, totaling 190,000 tons.The government believes that sugar has always been a contributor to inflation during the period leading up to Ramadhan and Lebaran. Therefore, the government is truly paying attention to the price stability of the sugarcane product.Previously, PT Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia (RNI) held sugar market operations to stabilize the price of sugar in the Jakarta and Bogor areas of West Java, on May 12 and 13, 2016.At that time, PT RNI provided 100 tons of sugar, which was distributed at eight locations in Jakarta and two locations in Bogor, and the community was only allowed to buy a maximum of 5 kilograms of sugar.
